About Carla

Photo I took of my mother’s apricot joy roses, which have grown to be as large as a man’s hand!

My name is Carla and I live in sunny San Diego, CA. Over the past 18 months, I have been exploring my life and my desire to direct my path forward. I am (almost) comfortable with referring to myself as an artist. This blog is part of my journey.

One of my favorite quotes, as it defines me from my viewpoint, is from Swiss artist Paul Klee: “Color possesses me. I don’t have to pursue it. It will possess me always. I know it. That is the meaning of this happy hour: Color and I are one. I am a painter.”

I randomly update my blog as part of my journey. My blog is titled “from crayon box to powering my soul… color defines me.” It can be found at: https://clisette.wordpress.com/

You can visit my shop at https://www.etsy.com/people/CarlasCraft Crafting is my stress balancer! That and a chilled glass of Sauv Blanc and I’m on my way to pure bliss. I am also on Pinterest under Carla Bange and have a board titled “My Art – Carla Bange”… feel free to follow me.

About my blog banner – it is a zoomed small portion of my 18×24” canvas entitled “Spring” shown in full here:
